4. Hosting – Shopify

Our online store is operated on the Shopify Inc. platform (151 O’Connor Street, Ottawa, ON K2P 2L8, Canada). Shopify is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Server access data (IP address, date/time, page accessed, referrer URL, browser type) is automatically stored whenever you visit our website.

Shopify processes data on our behalf in order to provide and improve the services for us. In addition, we use certain advanced Shopify features where Shopify may act as an independent data controller. The Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy applies to these processing activities:

5. Order processing & Customer Data

When you place an order, we process the following data to fulfill the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR):

Name, delivery address, email address, telephone number

Payment data (transmitted directly to the payment service provider)

Order history and communication

This data is stored for the duration of statutory retention periods (business correspondence: 6 years; tax-relevant documents: 10 years, in accordance with Sections 238 and 257 of the German Commercial Code [HGB] and Section 147 of the German Fiscal Code [AO]).

6. Payment Service Providers

We use the following service providers for payment processing:

7. Shipping Service Providers

9. Microsoft Clarity (Heatmaps & Session Recording)

With your consent, we use Microsoft Clarity, an analysis tool provided by Microsoft Corporation, One Microsoft Way, Redmond, WA 98052, USA. This tool records how visitors interact with our website (mouse movements, clicks, scrolling behavior) and generates heatmaps. The data is stored on Microsoft servers in the USA. Data transfer to the USA takes place on the basis of Standard Contractual Clauses in accordance with Art. 46 GDPR. Microsoft Clarity is activated only after you have given your consent.

10. Google Fonts

Our website uses Google Fonts. The fonts are hosted locally on our server, meaning no connection to Google servers is established and no IP address is transmitted to Google.
